We offer a series of courses for people interested in careers in the overall IT industry. After certification, graduates can work from home or in an office environment.

Network Technician Level 1  

This course is ideal for any potential candidates interested in making technology their new profession. This is a full time, online course that is instructor led and is delivered through a series of live lectures, virtual labs and testing.  

Candidates who are successful will be ready to take the industry standard CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+ and Fundamentals exam and are considered job ready to enter the field of Information Technology as a junior technician.

This field is in high demand and is ideal for those who want the ability to either work in the field or to work from home. Placement staff are available to aid with Co-op, part time and full-time employment placement.

Internship

We recommend students participate in a 3- 6-month internship prior to exam prep and writing A+ and Net+ COMPTIA certifications.
Students gain work experience through Internship. The goal in providing this opportunity is to help students reinforce learning that was gained from training and build professional skills that will better prepare them for exam taking, and above all to get a taste for pursuing a career in IT. 

Through our partner Total Support Solutions, we’re proud to provide both in house co-op and practicum placements along with co-op placements with outside organizations for all our students.
CV writing and interview preparation is included for all students.

Employment

We’re always on the lookout for great techs! Technicians who’ve successfully completed our training and internship programs receive priority consideration for full time employment with Total Support.

Our flexible work environment enables our staff to work from practically anywhere and in our line of work living in a remote community is an asset, not a liability.

Technician in Residence

Communities can also take advantage of our Technician in Residence (TiR) program to have qualified Total Support Technicians live and work in their communities.

This provides, for no additional charge, onsite support and allows the community to see first hand what it takes to become a technician.

We understand for many communities the goal is to not only create jobs, but to create businesses.

We can work together as a joint venture or provide the mentorship and training to allow qualified candidates to create their own businesses.

This program will run 20 weeks full-time and graduates will come out with industry certification from COMPTIA and Dial-A-Geek.

Once qualified, interested students can apply to be a Dial-A-Geek technician in their area. This will give them access to the following enhanced services:
